Shelly Drummond is a writer, folklorist and retired archaeologist living in Plant City, Florida with her daughter and a dog that looks like Toto. She is horrid at the daily grind of adulting and prefers to wallow instead in horror, YA fantasy fiction, folklife, history and culture.

She is the author of Dr. Wren’s Incredible Hoverpark of Wonder. Her short stories have been published in Blood and Aphorisms, Caution!, and Broken Pencil.  Her essays are published in Oxford Handbook of American Folklore and Folklife Studies, The New Encyclopedia of Southern Culture: Vol 14 Folklife, and Bridge to Boardwalk, Audio tour of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. You may find her speaking at cons in Tampa, exploring historic cemeteries, or tinkering in her workshop. She still hates ticks. She prefers single malt scotch, neat. @shelldrum
